BlueBox runs either as a SaaS (Software as a Service) or a dedicated installed licensed solution.
What is the difference?
SAAS (Software as a Service)
A copy of the software is instantly installed onto on one of our web servers, on your behalf. The code and database is on a shared server with other installations and you do not get full access to it, limiting your control over the database and the code for customizations. No installation required, simply pay-and-go month by month.

Dedicated Licensed Installation
A full copy of the software is installed where you choose (either internally on one of your servers, or on one of ours). You get full access to the database and, because it is a seperate copy of the software, it is easily customized to suit your specific requirements. You have the choice of buying the system outright or pay-and-go monthly.

I see that the software is leased, if I want to buy it outright can I?
If you are choosing the dedicated installed option, then yes you can! Although we believe it makes more sense for you to lease it monthly (which keeps us on our toes and doesn't tie you into anything long-term) we do have customers who prefer to buy a 99 year license (which allows for 3 years of support and free updates as well). If this interests you, you will want to read all about it here. * Please note that this isn't available for SAAS (Software as a Service).

Keeping in mind that our system is modular, meaning that you can pick and choose the level of solution you want and that our system is leased monthly and that you ghave a choice between SAAS or a dedicated installation, take a look at our pricing above to calculate how much your specific solution will cost you.
